BigKNY3: Posting any article from another author can be a copyright infringement even if you give credit for the source. I don't think there is anything sacred about posting another's message from the SI board for instance to the Motley Fool board and vice versa.

The intent behind the copyright law is to protect an author's intellectual property. I doubt that many posters expect to earn money from their postings on the SI board or any other board, so it may be a technical violation, although I am not fully convinced, but since you've not harmed the author in his/her pocketbook I don't think it violates the intent of the law.

I make this opinion based upon my understanding of the law. I do not hold myself out as an expert in the area of copyright.
