What a great conference call!! My favorite part was Farrell stating that he was not happy about the stock price. That is exactly what we need.!! We need our CEO to confidently state that our THQ is undervalued. I wish Farrell would have discussed the stock price with little more vigor and addressed it as a seperate issue. I am not whining, but he had the ball, I wish he would have ran a few more yards with it. I also liked that Stuart Halpern pointed out (with a feigned surprised tone) that based on $1.91 for 1999 THQ is trading at 9x forward earnings?? This was great. It again shows how undervalued THQ is. We are at $1.03 with 20% forward growth. Let's go THQ. I think THQ held back this quarter, just to make SURE that we meet or beat the 4th. The 4th is a big tamale. There is no sense taking any chances. We beat the 3rd soundly at 26million and 21cents. That was plenty good. A couple extra million in reserves to BANK the 4th quarter is typical THQ conservativeness. This fiscal preperation is something that has been important to me as an investor. I am okay with Dreamcast. I think THQ is more interested in Dreamcast than they are letting on. Don't forget James Whims(ex Sony Playstation big wheel and now on THQ board) in an interview in Next Generation, had very good things to say about Dreamcast. I am going by memory, but I believe he felt that Dreamcast will be a player. I believe Gamefx will prove to be a VALUABLE acquisition to exploit Dreamcast. I could not be more pleased with the quarter and the conference call. The future is so bright, I gotta wear shades. GO THQ!!
