There was a good report out on earningswhispers.com last week in WSJ Online. Basically you have 2 guys who work the phones trying to come up with the magic number. They have even admitted that some of their numbers come from rumours on threads like this one, and if that number is the only one they hear of, they will post it. Bottom line is that I would not put too much stock in those numbers

Glen, ABTX is more of a value play than earnings. They've acquired many forage/turf companies with lines from genetic research to distribution for end users i.e. farmers, Home Depot etc. Chemical and Ag related companies such as Dow and Dupont have paid approx. 6x rev.s for co.s such as Dekalb and Mycogen. ABTX is for sale or looking for equity deal with ML's guidance. I'm in the Ag bus and see a push to find plants that don't have reliance on chemicals, increased productivity and appearance. As for earnings, i expect more but any negative surprises well be met with the return to value imo.... BTW ABTX is selling at 1x rev.s. ..... Bob

ABTX.......EARNINGS

Glenn, in response to your question about ABTX earnings:

#reply=6216033
First Call says .03

Whisper is .02

But with the company up for sale for a premium price
($35-$70 figures have been quoted by analysts) the earnings
may not be that big of a deal. If they are really good,
the buyout may have to occur at a higher price.

Regardless of them beating earnings or not, ABTX is getting
bought in/out by a major chemical firm. Speculation is Dupont.

Put it on your watch list and buy on dips.

Regards,
S.W.
