Out of curiosity, were there any non- Scandinavian/British/Irish/German names in the top ten or twenty yet?

David, Thanks for that census bureau link! Whats interesting to me is, the minority names (which are the clear majority where I live) are way below Smith, Johnson etc. Lets see if that changes in 2000 - Ill bet it will.

Harris - #15
Wong - #459
Singh - #1306

I know 5 Wong families, and 3 Singh families and I am the only Harris.
