BTW, Everybody is impacted by Microsoft's technology botch-job daily. The massive amount of effort spent configuring systems, integrating new software and solving all manner of problems is a result of this. You could actually turn on a computer and have it work as reliably as the television or toaster. It is because of Microsoft's extremely poor designs that tens of billions are spent on maintaining PCs. So this notion that people don't care what's underneath is a false assumption. The good news is, if you call them up they will fix your problem and they'll do it professionally, courtiously and efficiently. Should you need to fix the problem yourself, there are tremendous resources available. BTW II, most problems are not the personal experiences Microsoft would have you believe; they're a direct result of bad design and poor implementation on Microsoft's part.
