A delay--imagine that. A Russian related delay--imagine that. NOTE TO LORAL--PAY A FEW MORE $---LAUNCH ON TIME USING PROVEN ROCKETS!!!

Seriously though, it is probably part of that age-old game of who gets the delay blame. T7 probably wasn't going to be ready anyway. This way, LMT takes the blame.

G* vs Loral - risk profile . . .

As things stand right now, Loral has plans to use the Delta III for Orion, the Atlas III for Telstar 7, the first Kistler K-1 for an unspecified launch, the Ariane 5 for CD Radio, and at at some point, the Zenit III Sea Launch. These are all new model rockets, with little or no track record. I wonder if Globalstar may now have a lower risk profile than Loral, as its launch lineup is entirely with the highly reliable Soyuz and Delta II vehicles. Considering the stock price performance lately, maybe some money is starting to shift in G*'s direction.
