Alta Natural Herbs & Supplements Ltd - Post says positive test data posted Alta Natural Herbs & Supplements Ltd AHS Shares issued 14,391,333 1998-10-19 close $0.61 Tuesday Oct 20 1998 The Financial Post reports in its Tuesday edition that shares of Alta Natural Herbs and Supplements rose seven cents to 61 cents on the Alberta Stock Exchange on Monday, on volume of 183,000 shares. Market Action columnist Garry Marr notes that the stock closed at a 52-week high, up 11 per cent, after the company said that preliminary test data on its hepatitis-C treatment, Hepatico, show that positive effects on sufferers in a test group. The data, which represent a 60-day or less treatment regimen for the study participants, indicate statistically significant reductions in ALT and AST liver enzyme measurements.
