Toy, could you make some comments on this article? I also feel rather strongly that the PC era is toast very soon. How would this pertain to the O/S environment. Do you know about real time O/S's?? Could you briefly explain them for me? Any opinions appreciated. TIA.

I'll believe Gerstner believes his own rhetoric when he closes down or spins off IBM's money-losing PC division.

Of course IBM would like you to believe that the answer is the big-mainframe-in-the-sky. Isn't that what IBM has always pitched? We just now call them "servers".
