OT but interesting. Atlantic Caspian Resources. Recent Developments In October 1997 Atlantic Caspian completed the acquisition of Anglo Caspian Oil, which has a joint venture for the exploration and production of oil from the Kamenistoye field. The terms of the deal give Atlantic Caspian management and operational control, 70% of the income from the field (recently raised to 80%, see Feb. 17 news release), $1 million in cash, and estimated recoverable reserves of 9 million barrels (the estimate was recently increased to 31.9 million barrels, see Feb. 10 news release). Atlantic Caspian also recently entered into a consulting agreement with TOO BN Consulting LLP, which will assist the company in identifying acquisition targets and maintaining good relations with the Kazakhstan state authorities (see Mar. 5 news release). TOO BN Consulting is controlled by Mr. Bulat Nazarbayev, the brother of His Excellency Nursultan Nazarbayev, the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Reflecting the confidence surrounding the company, in November 1997 Atlantic Caspian chairman Peter Catto increased his ownership position by purchasing 200,000 ADR's at $3.50. ................................................................. Isn't this the same guy(Bulat Nazarbayev) who sold G.Faris on our concession?
