Glenn,

That was a year and a couple of months ago when the last quarter's revenues were 16 Million. Now the last quarter's revenues were 116 million.

You guys keep comparing this to Presstek. If you really are thinking of AMZN, whose 2nd quarter revenues went from $2 mil in 1996 to $28 mil in 1997 and $116 in 1998, and which is the biggest and dominant retailer on the internet, as comparable to Presstek, which never did anything to warrant it's price, you are deluding yourselves.

AMZN may be over priced but it is no PRST.

As cheaper computers allow more and more people on line, do you really see internet commerce slowing down?

Amazon only has 1-2% of the book market. It has a long, long, way to grow. Not counting music, videos, and who knows what else, from wine to software.

If Walmart is worried about them maybe you should be too. Walmart doesnt even sell books.

Glenn -

Your seemingly outlandish theory that this company was never intended to make money -- sort of "The Producers" for the stock market -- would make a great movie. (Of course it's less outlandish than the idea that this company is intended to make money.)

FYI, the DJIA/AMZN coupling was in effect for part of yesterday, though they took longer than usual to kick it in. Seems to start around 50min into trading most days. Yesterday was much longer, and then it was off late in the day - which was unusual.

Up/down days and trades after the first hour have I would estimate 90% correlation for the past month. Some day I'll go back and calculate it exactly.

e.b.
