Off topic - biotechs - GENZL - Carticel
The Carticel implantation process as it currently exists is a very expensive two stage surgery. I understand they have a less expensive method under development. Since the ability do perform this surgery not only depends on the patients to do it on, it depends on how it will be paid for. The insurance companies are what is holding this technology back from more common use. A cheaper method may be a compromise.
