Taken from DELL BB

John, I heard a talk given by Michael Murphy today at the Seattle money show. He said in no uncertain terms that the dry spell in computers was over (being in Dell, I had no idea there was a dry spell <VBG>), and that the next big push will be fueled by the next release of Windows NT. He also pointed to Y2K compliance in hardware (seems that there is still a huge base of 386 and 486 machines out there) that favors replacement. The guy was was talking about demand for computers being great enough to stimulate DRAM shortages! All in all, probably the most bullish technology talk I've ever heard (although he didn't discuss any of the box makers directly).
