Convenient editing there, Bill. What I quoted from JLA was

Letting Clinton get away with his lies, perjury, obstruction and abuse of his office will corrupt an entire generation.

Lies are everywhere. Was it really the TRUTH that Reagan invaded Grenada to rescue American medical students? That was the official story at the time. Obstruction of Justice, well, Bush pardoned all the Iran/Contra leftovers when he left office, that seems a bit more obstructive than Clinton's incomplete cooperation with Starr. Abuse of office? That's a bit vague. Perjury? That's a legal matter, dougjn, the only one here I recall admitting any real legal knowledge, thought the charge standing up in court was far from a sure thing. Of course, when you're on a moral crusade, it doesn't matter much.

How did the Democrats run up the S&L bill? I wouldn't deny there were Democrats with dirty hands on the deal, along with everybody else, but the bailout was an executive branch operation, and it started up, strangely, almost immediately following Bush's election. How did the Democrats manage that curious timing?

Thank you. That was succinct. But, I bet he still doesn't get it. Will you give me odds? JLA
