Another answer is that for an outfit like Nordstrom's to place
an *effective* catalog on the Web is a *non-trivial* one-off
piece of application software development (non-trivial for a variety
of reasons).

Thanks, Leeza, for the info. I really do appreciate the way you answered my question in LAYMEN LANGUAGE.

However, that leads to my next comment and question. We don't need color, in order to purchase online -- so, while we are waiting for bandwidth, why don't retailers display their Internet catalogs in black and white?
