On the first, as I said, nobody particularly likes abortion, and I don't like it either. But, 89% of abortions take place before 12 weeks. Want more numbers? A round figure for the adoption versus abortion argument, currently there are about 100k adoptions/year in the U.S. I'll let you connect the dots, if you care to. As for who I despise, I try to respond to what people say, and to restrict my "innocuous slurs" to redirecting what has been sent my way. I'll admit to slipping up, and I apologized about your name. I've gotten much more abuse than I've ever given, and never a hint of apology. I don't much care, either, at this point. Quoting chapter and verse on the rod thing was a bit provocative, I admit. But given the reality of child abuse in this country and elsewhere, I don't think those verses should be treated as inerrant. There's been a lot of translation along the way anyhow, who knows what got lost?
