A sale/merger. And what was the final volume yesterday? Seems that I recall in one of the 250 messages that I just waded through (sheeeesh!) that yesterday was a record. Looks like we'll break it again today, if the action follows the "usual" pattern.

Joe, I don't know. I was watching it this morning at $1.75 by $1.76 and suddenly the ask dropped to $1.66 (bid stayed at $1.75!!)

The inside quote was moving like crazy WITH LITTLE VOLUME BEHIND IT.

The MMs didn't know what hit them, and they were scared. Clearly they were shorting into the buying spree, and they TRIED LIKE HELL to jockey it back down - as soon as the buyers took a breath - to scare some selling in so they could bring their negative inventories back in line.

I image that they are flat for the weekend based on the high afternoon volume. That's OKAY, because otherwise they'd have to gap-it-down on Monday to replenish inventories.

Scary times for MMs in DCTC. Did any of the little guys drop out of the box today?
