And that is supposed to be a reliable source. I read somewhere (I will look for the post later) that these people sometimes get their estimates from boards just like this one. I think more likely this is a case of buy the rumor, sell the news. Seems pretty typical when the stock runs up before earnings.

Whisper numbers are some mythical "crap" that apparently some privileged analysts conjure up. You may say they missed "the whisper" by 0.01 -- I say reality is there was a 0.15 positive swing in earnings [down 0.08 to up 0.07]. You may wish to be guided by the "games people play on the Street". I'll choose to follow the "results companies produce in the market"! Good Luck!!!!
