A Hard Lesson This is a true story ! I kid you not.

I am on one of those (not SI) stock boards when someone starts hyping some penny stock.(this was in my early days when I was more naive to these things); Anyway I bite.

I call my broker and ask how much it would cost to buy 10,000 of them shares. He says I could get 10,000 for $5000 + comission. OK I says.Figured I buy at .50.

I put in an order with my broker. I wait a few days and call my broker and he tells me this thing is at .65.

I am feeling great about my decision to buy.

Next day .75. WoW almighty!

Next Day $1.00. I doubled!

I am thinking retirement at this point!

Next day he says it's going down ...at .90...5 minutes later he says .75...What to do !!

What to Do! I wait another 5 minutes! .60...Oh no!!

I says sell that damn thing.

He calls me back and confirms sell at .50.

.50?? Slid real fast. Oh well at least I broke even.Me thinks!

Anyways!

I get my confirmation in the mail week later to discover I had lost 50% of my investment.

Get this!

Turns out I bought a Canadian Stock. .50 was the converted US price that I paid. But when I called my broker for updates he was giving me Canadian Quotes because the thing traded on the Vancouver Exchange. So I sold at .50 Canadian.

What's that about .05 US.

LOL
