That does seem to have worked exceedingly well for you, g :-)

Just want to point out that this isn't the ATR(n) in MSWIN 6.5, which uses Wilder's bastardized EMA.

Andy...(and Richard)

Thanks a lot for jumping in here. As I'm terrible at writing my own scans, this one is greatly appreciated.

Help me with my education. I can't find a reference to "ATR", but I'm guessing it has to do with trading range. Also, I'm further assuming here, that once I run this scan I will get the more volatile issues from my database placed in "atr89.lst" upon which I can run another scan to generate signals for my consideration. Am I close to understanding any of this?

Ken

Andy,
I am currently using my prescan program every Friday to make a selection list to use the following week. I have then been using the MACD/RSI scan that you created for me to select possible purchases on a daily basis during the next week.

What I would like to do now is to create a group within the QP2 virtual files to hold the selected items. Is there a way to create a list of files within the virtual system to hold this stock list? My thought was that with this list, I could then use other programs, such as GET to scan just this list for possible other factors.

I have created a list to use with QP2, but do not know how to create the virtual file. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
