>I'm talking about stocks that have weathered one market cycle, like >Amazon now has.

What cycle would that be? The 1 1/2 month dip in the markets we just experienced after 5 years of straight up DJIA?

You call 1 1/2 months a cycle? Amazons stock price dipped around 60 for just over a couple hours.

Lets see how well Amazon could conduct business with a stock price of 20, where it belongs. I'll give you a hint- they wont be able to pay as many of their bills with stock as they used to..

>>It's like trying to
figure what California was worth in 1849.<<

otoh, will, maybe it is like trying to figure out how much bre-x property was worth in indonesia.

amzn may turn out to be a boom but it could also be a total bust. just wanted to throw some balance out there...

I do agree that there is only one YHOO. Or only one AOL. But only one AMZN??? Nope.

I said it over and over that nobody knows what Amazon is worth. It's like trying to
figure what California was worth in 1849. As far as business strategy goes, I think I've
contributed a lot.

William,

You are incorrect. AMZN has no real value nor will it have value at anytime in the future. This is a promise.
