okay, I've read some things from the ABCNEWS site, one of which you mentioned. I couldn't resist my own sarcastic comments [in brackets]. POLICE: The Palestinians have agreed to reduce the size of their police force from its current level of 40,000 personnel to 24,000 in accordance with the limits in the Oslo Accords. [evidently this is what we could call a "recycled" portion of this current accord.] Alleged terrorists on the force will be thrown off. [how grand. we'll just throw their asses right off the force.] TERRORISTS: The Palestinians will establish a security plan with a timetable for the arrest of alleged terrorists and confiscation of weapons, under CIA supervision. Israel dropped its insistence that suspects be extradited to Israel. [well hey, no doubt some good career openings for CIA men and women] SAFE PASSAGE: The two sides have yet to agree on how to administer safe passage for Palestinians moving in a corridor between Palestinian areas in Gaza and Palestinian areas in the West Bank. [so like, we'll work it out later, yah know?] CHARTER: The Palestinian National Council and other Palestinian groups will meet to cancel 26 clauses in the Palestine Liberation Organization charter that call for Israel's destruction. [wasn't really working anyway] REDEPLOYMENT: Israel and the Palestinians will jointly consider an additional Israeli troop withdrawal, the third of three mandated by the 1993 Oslo Accords, but only when they have "final status" talks on the nature of a Palestinian state. ["consider" and "later". yipee.]
