Re: At first, Mitsubishi Chemical will be supplied on an OEM basis as well, but the firm is also pushing development of its own media in order to cut into the supply sourced from Fuji Photo Film.

This is the move away from Fuji that I've been wanting.

This will help aline people like Kodak and Iomega. IMO Kodak
would have a real problem putting Fuji disks in their cameras,
and this was a big problem for IOM. It looks like
in reality Sony's done IOM a favor by providing the reason
for IOM to look elsewhere.

Further I didn't feel real comfortable with Fuji helping support
IOM's competition develop a hi density drive.

Looks like Fuji is about to learn what biting the hand that
feeds you means.

IMO This is great news and a smart move by IOM
This is some of the best news that I've heard in
a long while.
Thanks for passing along the info.
