Hey...did I hear my name??

Hi, Kenny. Comments from me re: the OS sector have been slim anywhere
for quite awhile. I'm still long my longtime 3, RIG (in a DRP with
Bank of NY), DRQ, and MIND. I'm so far underwater on all of them
that any rally which starts just gives me a "Damn, here we go
again" feeling. That's my own fault, however, for buyin' 'em plump
and holding them thru a long decline. At these kind of prices,
it's a different story.
TDW. Never have closely followed the service boats end of the sector
too closely, as the equipment is smaller and easier to 'over-build'
in moments of euphoria (last year) than the bigger rigs. But there's
still drilling going on, and somebody's got to get the crews,
equipment et al out to where it's happening. I think I'd want to
see some int'l exposure, as the GOM seems to have been slowing
down the most. And, if your trading quickly, anything's possible.
Haven't been tracking Noble either, just RIG; like I said above,
when you've been thumped good and are just holding on waiting for
some real improvements in world-wide oil demand, the urge to mine
every analyst's report for hope wears thin.

And,OT, one of our boats lost a crankshaft Thursday, so today
I get to roll over a stripped-down, ~8 ton engine block, and
remove the offending mote.

Gotta go.
Wish I could be of more assistance.

Lee
