Thats a great way to look at it.

I got nailed by Datek on a trade a while back. Hit the sell button and got no response from the server so I hit it again. Their server was slow so it took a couple of minutes before I learned I sold 1,000 shares and shorted another 1,000. Lost 1/4 point on that screwup.

Guess the old adage that those who do not learn from their mistakes are doomed to repeat them. I've done a lot of learning lately and some of the lessons were costly. But the great thing about this thread is that I've learned a few things without having to pay the tuition!
