<BPX/Axis which puts FORE products ..>

totally unaware of the ATM product space. Even a layman ATM person knows that BPX/Axis and ASND 500/550 are WAN ATM switches.
WAN ATM switches do not typically support MPOA, LANE, fast SVC. BPX will not even meet the tests.
what an un-knowledgeable post.

<It's interesting to see that the tester chose to ignore the REAL ATM products in this test. Looks to me like a comparison/test that
was paid for by FORE. Why else would the market leader (ASND) and Cisco's
leading ATM Switch (BPX/Axis) be omitted from the test>

whoever posted this is totally out-of-base.
Firstly, datacom lab test is independent and highly respected lab owned by McGraw-Hill. Suggesting that they was paid by FORE to look good is totally wrong and a false statement. DataCom lab test, if they see this may come to the person who posted this and will lileky ask for proof, if there is no backup proof, the person may be asked to retract the statement or may be get sued. Too bad.
Secondly, ASND 550 and CSCO BPX are WAN swicthes and therefore are not able to participate in this type of test which is LAN oriented. These WAN switches will not be able to meet these test such as LANE and MPOA and PNNI (at this point both BPX and ASND 550 do not support multi-peer group with fast SVC capable PNNI yet). Datacom lab, I beleive ask for the companies to provdie their best and that's what they provdied.
To conclude, csco lost out to the great FORE in a fair test, big time.
