wow ted, news from corx today's la times, biz section page c2, i nailed it cold saved myself a drive.

Troubled cortex trying to raise funds.
Cortex Pharmaceuticals in danger of being delisted on the smallcap said friday it hopes to raise additional capital from prospective corporate partners. the irvine based developer of drug therapies for neurological and phsychiatric disorders said in a statement that it is in talks with some investors but did not identify them.
if nasdaq doesnt approve of cortex's plan, the exchange will issue a formal notice of delisting.
cortex could then ask for a hearing on the matter. the company doesnt meet the exchanges requirement that it maintain at least 2 million and a market cap of 35 mil. the exchange also requires it to post earnings of at least 500,000 in the prior fiscal year or two of the three prior fiscal years.

looks and sounds like a down to the wire race for cortex, fascinating situation being played out, will cortex mgmt be forced to take one of the deals they turned down in past, are they now in the beggars cant be choosers position, phase 2 not complete, this is bad, major dilution only answer here or welcome to the bulletin board.
