You people would argue w/ a tree if it had an "Anti-DELL" carved into it. amazing...

Only if the tree has web access and SI membership. It's just hard to tolerate a stupid bear tree. Might fall on the newbies.

Lucretious,

RE: "there's a reason we have dictionaries. Consult one..."

You were correct that the proper word would have been "drivel", though I don't agree that it is a point of "grammar" as you had suggested. "Grammar" relates to the structure of sentences. It might have been more appropriate to use "word usage" or "use the proper word" rather than "grammar".

I decline to vote on the color of the sun, since it seems that it can depend on your perspective, i.e., the properties of atmosphere between the viewer and the sun.

Your also correct that this line of discussion borders on the "top of insanity" (I would prefer to use some derivitive of silly or absurd). But equally absurd is your postings of (paraphrasing) "Something is going to happen Monday or Tuesday in Japan..." or "I knew that earlier in the week but I didn't want to tell you when I REALLY knew", etc. If you want to share something than share it. If you don't want to for some instructive or sadistic reason than don't bother playing these vague little games.

Best Regards,
Jim

Why don't we have a vote on whether the sun is yellow or blue?

Actually the sun is both, and has almost equal output of light across the visible spectrum. It is also red...
