More local news: Warren Buffett reportedly buys a 5.1% stake in MGI Properties, a Boston-based real estate investment trust. Buffett's stake reached 5% on Oct. 14, the same day MGI announced that its' shareholders approved a plan to liquidate the company's holdings. Mngmnt has estimated $33.00/share in break-up value. Buffett holds 700,000 shares of common stock, according to a 13G filing. The article also makes clear it is BUFFETT that owns this stock, NOT Berkshire-Hathaway.
