Cramer in TSC:

If I had to summarize, I would say the following. If there is real bank reform in Japan, six months from now things will begin to get better in East Asia. But if it were not for the Japanese, we would be there already because of the magnificent job the Koreans are doing to turn around their economy. In fact, this was the great success story of the quarter, the amazing opening of an economy to outsiders and simultaneous balance sheet slimdown at a time of worldwide financial chaos.

If we had a government that was not preoccupied with the president's privates, maybe we could spend a little time backing Kim Dae Jung in his remarkable achievements in such a short time in this country that is a great friend of the U.S. (who, in case people have forgotten, stood by us during the Vietnam War, simply because we are their friends and backed them against North Korea's invasion).
