Off topic: This is a DEC 80 PUT, and its war until the end. Don't know if you'll win that war John. Greenie has the ability to manipulate this market for several more interest rate points. I think we'll see the Fed attempt to stave off a psychological panic by permitting the market to go up enough to salvage the positions held by most of these hedge funds. If hedge funds are unable to display profits or minimal losses for 1998, I fully expect that their investors will pull out their money this December, furthering hedge fund illiquidity. Then I see even greater difficulties from margin calls. Basically though, minus a major negative event over the next several months, you may get a chance to reacquire that put at even higher levels. Personally, I would pay the premium and buy 2000 puts. More time and greater safety in not being caught up in a exhuberant blow-off final leg upward. Regards, Ron
