David: Thanks for the thoughtful response. In fact, it's pretty much identical to what I would have said... I was hoping to see if there was much consensus of opinion, and a consensus of two isn't worth a *whole* lot!

But can I surmise that you basically think that strategy-wise Inprise is on the right track, (or at least it's hard to see how to be on a better track without switching businesses)?

...and if so, do you take the low stock price to be:
-- lack of faith in this plan or Inprise' ability to execute it
-- perception of good plan, but results will be a long time in coming,
-- or a more generic lack of attention to, or understanding of, IT/internet stocks at the moment?
-- or???
