Hi, Giraffe...it gives me NO END of pleasure to point out the current chairWOMAN of the CFTC was hollering and pounding the table for Hedge Fund/Derivative regulation on Capitol Hill before LTCM blew up in AG's face! AG and Rubin mounted the traditional ole boy slap-her-around-a-bit/it-doesn't -need-any-regulation-or-monitoring- because yaddayaddayadda...crap. Now we know why: LTCM was the Central Banker's version of Hedge Funds Are US, and they didn't want anyone to know of their private insider cartel to manipulate the currency markets and mortgage markets in particular. Score another one for the CFTC, let alone "the girls!"
