Customer service and the internet-Killer combinations for DELL

(those are the keys that will take DELL to the next century,not country stores,not channels nor the 'hybrid' strategy that everyone else seem to be following these days.It all about 'velocity'.)

Great article and to the point and you know Dell will be doing $7 mil/day via the internet by Christmas according to M.D and that is no laughing matter considering each unit sold through the net saves the company a a bundle and that is how one makes money, not by opening up little country stores at considerable cost like Gateway or setting up 'kisoks' like CPQ is planning to do or 'co-locating',nor is it cheap prices,these are desperate measures by desperate people at best and expensive propositions at worst.Implementing and executing great ideas before anyone else does is what DELL do and the rest of them can try to 'emulate' but they will be 'a dollar short and a day late' as always.HeeeeeeeeHaaaaaaW.<g>
