Funny, the version of fetcvhblech that I used told me that the writer had taken popclient that WOULD fetch for the user demand and "improved" it so it was root run background only and disabled any user requests to run. Also my version would not deliver the mail once on the POP because it was to me@theisp.com and not me@mymachine.com. I tried to get user invocation and it always failed. Perhaps later versions are more flexible.

Also sendmail and pine could not be set to show a return address of me@myisp.com. It always showed up as root@mymachine.com in the "from field" I went down the pine list a dozen times and it was not apparent how to set it although I tried different things.

When I did get mail to be fetched by popclient it worked for a while and I could read my mail in pine. Then when I changed a few pine mail box settings the mail messages all got put into one file when collected and they all ran together instead of being individually readable and repliable. No idea what happened there. I don't like using elm or mail so what is a good mail reader/sender that has mime and multi media capabilities?
