great post from you. for others interested in data sources: ----------- Chris forgot to mention how impressed I am with QP2. Its scans are much faster than MS. I prescan certain basics in QP2 then put them into MS for the remaining techs which QP2 does not support, yet. I have installed virtual which is awesome. I have all stocks sorted by IRL Industry groups. So, if a sector gets hot I have all the stocks in that group to flip through. You can also set them up by SIC code if you like. Downloads take about 5 minutes (for ALL the stocks and mutual funds) easy transfer to MS and if you set up your MS files as virtual they are updated automatically. There are still a few glitches that come along but they are always fixed ASAP. I love it
