BINGO! Jackpot!

Without the product infrastructure you CAN'T do any of this.

Bye, bye SAP, JDEC, BAANF, ROSS....

Hello ORCL, IBM, PSFT (?) - app players of the next generation.

Jury is out on PSFT/BEAS, but BEAS is moving in a direction that might meet PSFT's needs. They want to become an app server player. My money would be on ORCL before BEAS when it comes to building app servers. But BEAS can play to the 'database independent' crowd and ORCL can not. Why would they want to anyway? Best database is still the best database.

Oh yeah, that nasty SQL Server thing is still around...

Hey, Larry, support SQL Server on the backside of the app server just to piss 'em off! Course you will have to put up with a bit of reduced functionality, but MSFT users are used to that.
