*AV* - sorry for the delay. most of these questions were answered in print and in the recent conference call this week.

1. How big do you suppose the market is for Cymer right now?

Not big enough since ASMLF is expecting a poorer second half and the bigger companies Nikon and Canon are also not going to meet earlier shipments. BTW USHIO is trying to get into the market since they realize the mercury arc lamp business in which they dominate, may trail off as DUV goes mainstream.

2, Has Intel, MU, Samsung, or AMD been ramping up DUV 248nm?

Intel and Samsung look to be along with IBM and a few other overseas foundries. The 248nm may be giving way to the 193 systems.

3, Have the Stepper companies been taking some 193 orders which would require a laser or two or three? Yes<GGG>

4. Is the installed base large enough now to support some healthy revenue from the R&M group?

Close but not self sustaining yet. My opinion is that the R&M business will not be healthy until mid next year or until INTC ramps up. My rationale is that their are not big enough installed bases to keep service organizations localized. Therefore, when their staff is not so much on the move and can stay in one place with localized customers, they will be more efficient.
