thank you for responding, it sounded like a great trip! i know that 'yellow water' well, i've also been swimming in that black southern water and know how strange that part of the south can be, tho i love it! did ja' stop at 'south of the border'? my dad's family is from mt. vernon ohio and 2 years ago i took a spring trip thru the surrounding area....the farmers had just plowed their fields and i was awed by the blackness of that fresh turned soil! smelled.......like ....life. he had boxes of arrowheads gathered from plowed fields. what a rich land! ah, ok, i must go feed the cats as they are howlin' on the patio.
