NeverRight, That is sort of true, but only this far. Distribution of music with decent audio quality requires bandwidth not generally available. Else KTEL would still be flying high. Books will be around until the old promise of a paperless society is fulfilled. Problem is computers can't wipe my butt yet. When they can, I'll believe books are doomed as well. I was hearing this paperless society stuff in 1977 and we produce something like 100x the paper we did then. My wife's annual junk catalog receipts alone are probably responsible for the deforestation of southern Ontario. Or did I misread your meaning on Amazon? I took you to mean that publishers could just as easily publish electronically. I do see that coming, but there is a 'touch feel' aspect to a book that isn't required for software. Books will be with us a while longer. Still looking for a good reason for egghead.com to exist. Really am open to a good suggestion. If we don't find any, we'll write to them to cease ALL business operations and distribute the cash to the stockholders. They've come this far. Might as well finish the job. ttf
