RE: Higher Capacity Zip Drive:

If I remember the conference call correctly, Mr. Sierk said that the higher capacity drive would be released when ..."our customers show us that there is a demand for it."

I would think and like the following to occur within the next 12 months:

1.***If IOM thinks Hifd poses a threat*****
I believe a 200-250 Megabyte drive will be announced at Comdex in November. There might be some small ramp up just so Sony doesn't beat them by much to the punch, if you know what I mean. IOM will wait for the release of HiFD.....after HiFD is released I believe the higher capacity Zip will be actually immediately shipped.....if Hifd never comes out or if it is an incredible flunk right out of the gate I don't believe the Zip2 will ship until Xmas 99.

2. More OEM's, maybe expansion of current OEMs to more SKUs. New device OEMs such as scanners, copiers and printers.

3. Further reduction in price of Jaz2 product line now that Jaz1 is out of production.

4. Penetration of the Internal Jaz drive into higher end business work stations and low to mid end servers.

5. More Clik! allainces will be announced, much like the Microsoft CE press release....these are the building blocks of a totally new technology. The PalmPilot os is fast becoming the O/S2 of the handheld world.

6. Major Clik! OEM announcement.....as stated in conference call

7. New prototype units of other products with an internal clik! maybe a handheld computer.

8. A 20 pack of Zip disks for $119.99 ($5.99/disk)
A 10 pack of Zip disks for $ 69.99 ($6.99/disk)

9. More floppyless PCs

10. Someone to make the Zip the A: drive standard on all Zip equipped machines.

11. The disappearence of Rocky from any all stock message boards.

BTW just used the recordiT software...was very cool I must say...I use a cd based database for stocks (TC 2000 4.1) all day and now I can listen to my favorite tunes (Traffic, Pearl Jam, Pachobel Canon, etc...) while my cd drive is occupied with my database software.

Anyway I'm done blabbing .....everyone have a nice night.
