MM, I don't see any reason for the story if it isn't true. You can't short a private stock. The story on Lehman made much more sense as a lie. My guess is that losses hit them, but it may not be that much. They are probably opening trader's desk drawers all over the co. to see what trades are hidden from view. <G>

MM, Will has told you many times there will be tough love fer all, including Goldman Sachs. ho ho ho I your earlier post about the differences between the 20's and the current mkt you agree that the U.S. economy underwent more dynamic growth in the 20's so tell me why is the US mkt sound when at the July peak the mkt was twice as overvalued as the 1929 peak. Remember MM the bigger the boom the bigger the bust -this bear will be a doozie. Mike forever bearish ho ho ho
