BroadVision and Interwoven Announce Integrated Solution for Management of One-to-One Web Sites
REDWOOD CITY and SUNNYVALE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Oct. 26, 1998--
Leaders in One-to-One Relationship Management and Enterprise
Web Production Introduce Interface Product to Deliver
End-to-End Solution
BroadVision(R), Inc. (Nasdaq:BVSN - news) and Interwoven, Inc., today announced a partnership to integrate the two companies' products -- BroadVision One-to-One(TM) Enterprise Version 4 and Interwoven TeamSite -- in a single, comprehensive solution for ongoing management of a Web system for dynamic, personalized content delivery. BroadVision is the leading worldwide provider of one-to-one relationship management applications for the extended enterprise.
Interwoven will release a new product, the TeamSite-BroadVision Interface (TBI), developed in conjunction with BroadVision, to link their two systems. The TBI combines the industry-leading customized content delivery capabilities of BroadVision One-to-One Enterprise with the Interwoven TeamSite system for Enterprise Web Production.
''Until now, firms requiring the industry-leading relationship management capabilities of BroadVision One-to-One Enterprise had a difficult time adopting an industry-leading solution to manage Web development and production processes. Alternative approaches, including less robust products for an 'all-in-one solution' could not offer the sophistication of the One-to-One product or the power of Interwoven's TeamSite product,'' said Dr. Pehong Chen, president and chief executive officer of BroadVision. ''Now there is a comprehensive solution which comprises the right technologies for best practice Web operations.''
''Enterprise Web Production -- EWP -- is about enabling organizations to use best-of-breed technologies with greater quality and efficiency,'' commented Martin Brauns, chief executive officer of Interwoven. ''EWP provides process and content management, quality assurance, and efficient deployment of Web content -- the structure necessary for mission-critical enterprise Web sites. Combining these advantages with BroadVision's industry-leading dynamic content delivery has produced the industry's most robust solution for Web sites where a relationship with the user is paramount.''
''BroadVision and TeamSite working together allows us to dynamically render our content to different customer segments while keeping the content fresh, versioned and archived,'' said Steve Santana, manager of Web Publishing, Web Business Organization, Nortel Networks. ''Tighter integration between these products means increased productivity, faster time to Web and higher quality. It enables us to spend less time in workflow management and content management and more time enabling more features and increased functionality.''
The TBI closely integrates the two systems, providing important benefits to the Web team. Web assets used by the One-to-One system to deliver information can be managed through TeamSite to provide large-scale, concurrent development of a sophisticated, personalized Web site. The combined solution will enable TeamSite's SmartContext(TM) QA functionality -- allowing developers to immediately stage and test personalized Web content, without interrupting the work of other developers.
The TeamSite-BroadVision Interface will be released in Q4 1998. Pricing will be configuration-specific.
