Looks like Cisco is trying to do to MSFT what MSFT has done to IBM (OS/2), Cytrix (Winframe), Sun (Java), etc. - licence the rights of someone else's technology and put it out for their own benefit.

If the following article it looks like Cisco plans on putting Active Directory out before MSFT will on its NT platform...
