From the SG Cowens analyst report done from the Networld Interop show. Basic idea I got from the report was that Cisco has pretty much screwed up their chances in the WAN switching arena and is forced to cower down and back into the enterprise area where they will focus on growing with VOIP products. But thats the thing, 3Com has also aggressively positioned itself there. Cisco is also selling their Fast Ethernet switches at more than 50% discount in the far East. Thats the second confirmation I got recently of that. Its very disturbing as to why they are doing so. Usually when a company is losing market share they do this. -hitesh
