It's him again! Running off at the keyboard here on a prayer thread but,... Something you said Jane, has much importance for all of us here that truly want to serve God and shed His light in the darkness.Something that all of us aught to pray about and ask that God take away any spirit of fear we might harbour and make use of the sound mind, the power and love He has given us. <<Sorry, but I must speak the truth. There's not much time left for man-pleasing. Even here, among people I truly love.>> Never apologize for speaking the truth. Instead shouldn't we all be asking forgiveness of God for not utilizing and speaking His truth, especially in our own churches? I was once asked to preach at a church filling in for their minister. In meeting him he asked what I would be speaking on. I stated I'd be waiting on the Lord to provide the message. In the conversation that followed he mentioned his disdain for a fellow that actually took John 14:6 literally where Jesus says, "I am the way, the truth and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me." He couldn't believe that anyone still thought that way! A "christian" church. Wonderful pictures of godly things, beautiful songs about faith, but no truth. No Jesus as we know Him in the bible. Not a single bible in the pews! Three guesses on what verse the message was based on. First two don't count. We need to take a stand every where for the word of God without fear, especially against false doctrine. Truth hurts the enemies of the gospel. Eternity without Christ hurts forever. How many here love Catholics? There are now one billion that are told there is no salvation outside of that institution. It is part of the canon law. A wonderful quote source unknown..."I would rather offend all men and please God than please all men and offend God." In Christ's love for all, John
