If OC is spreading groundless rumors he might be subjecting himself to a potential lawsuit. One company recently sued posters to a Yahoo! stock board thread for spreading rumors - they named Yahoo! as a co-defendant. They claim massive damages based on the decline of the stock after the rumors started. I don't think OC's comments could be construed to be trying to drive down the stock price, but then who knows what might happen if expectations aren't met - no matter how speculative those expectations might be.
