OT Cable Question - Since the big telcos are obviously intending to replace their analog/voice networks with digital/data networks what is the difference going to be between a cable line and a phone line? I mean, theoretically wouldnt a phone line be able to carry TV signals and music and data just like a cable does now? I dont see the advantage that coax is going to have over twisted pair in the long run. Wont telco lines make cable obsolete eventually? Is this a timing thing where cable companies are trying to get the jump on the telcos? Could somebody fill in the blanks? Much obliged.
