This all has to do with telephony. There's little profit in that unless you're working at the global level, the T level. There isn't any particular direct benefit to ATHM for T to buy TCI. ATHM will always come up smelling like roses regardless of how regulators are trying to do "good". If anyone would like to disagree, I will be happy to repeat the numerous arguments I made early this year why this is true and why the T-TCI merger isn't all that great for ATHM.
