Well, THQ is winning the earnings game: biz.yahoo.com Why someone wouldn't wait to short until the secondary is announced, is beyond me. That way one can put one's money to work elsewhere, until needed. Sure, one may miss the gap down, but one also misses the steady rise that comes with great earnings, quarter after quarter. And the faithful will always rush in after bad news, creating plenty of upticks for shorting. I dunno. Anyway, with today's release of NWO/Revenge, the time for channel checks is upon us. The release is just in time for this week's airing of WCW Nitro btw. Wonder if THQ has an ad on tonight's show? Bowling and Darius continue to sell well, according to MF board checks. Devil Dice is selling even better than that. We've traded a good number of shares in the middle of the current $18.50-ish resistance today and are now at the upper end of the band. Looks decent to me, but we'll see. Sword, any LVL II updates? Thanks. Marc

YES, the shorts would love the secondary to happen. They could purchase the convertibles and then go short and not have to worry. I saw this same scenario with Applied Magnetics (APM) two years ago and last summer. I do recall BF saying, in the conference call, that there was no need for the secondary and that there would not be one. He seemed straight to the point when asked that question. I think that is what started the shorting. I do not think there will be a secondary any time soon. BF said they have plenty of cash and a 23 million line of credit that hasn't even been touched. I think he caught a lot of shorts with their "Shorts" down...:) I for one am glad for that!!!! JMHO Brian H
