Gersh: I think the rates are being affected by other things this week. The WSJ--interactive edition had an article today about the switch from bonds to stocks. It was part of a larger story and took a couple of lines.

I think money is moving on the margins between bonds and stocks and so the general anti-correlation in the bonds and the DOW or S&P. Probably some computer somewhere chugging away. If we all left the computers alone to trade amongst themselves, I wonder what they would end up with? Nuclear holocaust, most likely.
